Our Mission

We, the members and friends of New Thought Chicago, view Peace in all humanity as an emanation of the Divine, an attribute inherent to all, an indwelling Presence. We further believe that transformation of the world becomes possible as an individual pursuit. Personal transformation moves upon families of every form, this melds into communities, spreading on the physical plane, while at the same time, endemic to the nature of the Over Soul. As moves the individual, so too the collective, and transmutation of a Culture of Peace for the World becomes possible. Our Sunday Celebrations, Accredited Classes, out-reach programs, and all our healing work is an action toward the realization of Peace and Well-being for all humanity.

Philosophy

At New Thought Chicago we practice, to the best of our ability, to live life by the example master teachers such as Jesus of Nazareth, Gautama Buddha, Lao Tzu and other great spiritual and philosophical leaders and teachings throughout the centuries, namely to, love our neighbor as ourselves, and to trust that God is a positive energy of love which creates in our world a direct response to our feeling nature, and positive word or affirmative prayers. And, to the degree that we have faith in this Positive Creative Power/God, we can expect peace of mind, and to live long healthy, loving and prosperous lives free from all discord and pain. This is what we believe all the great mystics and master teachers taught and represented.

Beliefs

We Believe:
  • There is an intelligence, an energy, which created all Life - sustains all Life; maintains all Life - is that Life Itself.
  • The completeness of the Originating Intelligence is in all things at all times and therefore within you and me.
  • The exacting Law of Cause and Effect is fundamental to this intelligence
We Believe:
  • As one thinks an impress of the thought moves within Universal Law creating a perfect reflection resulting in their experience.
  • Our thoughts and actions take on natural consequences
We Believe:
  • Happiness is inherent to you and Divinely intended.
  • Positive thoughts, feelings and ideas are inherent with your spiritual nature.
  • Your Life's Purpose is easily revealed as you accept your inherent good and consciously choose to think positively and nurture positive feelings.
We Believe:
  • The more one sees themselves as a spiritual being the greater power and freedom they can realize.
  • There are no limits to our spiritual or material Life.
We Believe:
  • All circumstances in life are for good.
  • Evil is an action not an entity.
  • Heaven and hell are not a destination but a result of individual actions here on earth.
  • Life is eternal and what is called death is merely a passing to the next level of Life's experience.
  • In Divine Intelligence there is no concept of evil, ill health, lack, unhappiness, or death.

We Believe each person has an intuitive nature; this is how Spiritual ideas are advanced in the world.

We Believe in the healing of sickness through the conscious action of our thoughts.

We Believe in the control of conditions through the conscious action of our thoughts.

We Believe in the Goodness of all Life as ever and ever expanding.

We Believe Your Life is the Life of Spirit.
